Legacy of a Robbery on the Iron Mountain Railroad

RENEGADE PRESS 1996 Amazon

This is a factual account of the 1893 bank robbery on the Iron Mountain Railroad. Four part-time criminals and four full-time farmers joined forces to become what is best described as the 'One-Time-Only Train Robbing Gang'. They robbed a passenger train on the Saint Louis, Iron Mountain, and Southern Railroad, in the village of Olyphant, Arkansas, on November 3, 1893. This is a factual narrative of the robbery and its aftermath, still unfolding after 103 years. To say it is a complete history of the crime would be presumptuous. There is more to discover. Three of the robbers were never captured, nor was the bulk of the money and jewelry recovered.
